Weekend

What a frustrating weekend it has been for me. My latest assignment (I am doing A-level Photography) is either Portraits or Landscapes. I have decided to to Landscapes. Well it has rained all weekend in this part of the country so I have not been able to go out and take any photographs this weekend! I know I could have gone out and taken photographs anyway, but with the poor light and leaden skies it would have been a struggle. I am many famous photographers have probably gone out whatever the weather and had great success, but I don't feel I have the experience to deal with such poor light. I haven't yet decided whether to do urban landscape or rural landscape, if the weather doesn't improve I will be doing urban. I would like some cold, frosty, sunny days. At the weekend please as I work during the week!!!

MUSIC

Music is important to me. Music can heal, music can bring joy, it can stir emotions, create calm. I have always loved music and have been surrounded by music all my life. I remember my mother singing, my father playing his electronic organ. As a child I used to sit at the piano and compose little tunes. I often come home extremely tired on a Friday evening after a weeks work, and I force myself to go to band rehearsal, I arrive home later rejuvenated and glad I made the effort to go. Saturday mornings for many years have been music centred, my son attended the Saturday morning music club which later I joined and I still go. My son is now a professional musician and my greatest pleasure is seeing and hearing him play.

WHY WHY WHY?

This is what I did to my car yesterday:

This is the wall – now the same shade as my car!

I am now asking myself

WHY did I do this? I am normally so careful when I reverse.

WHY did I not look in the side mirror when I was reversing? That’s what the mirrors are for.

Worse of all WHY did I reverse in the first place? When I got out of the car there was plenty of room for me to park beyond the wall before the yellow line started.
