2015 Summertime Scavenger Hunt

A few more photos from the past month.  I must get out and take some more photos for the Scavenger Hunt.

 Number 9 - A Tent

Number 3 - A person walking a dog.  This was the start of the Great British Greyhound Walk
so quite a few people walking dogs.

I met this lady in the park and we had a nice chat about dogs.

Number 12 - A public toilet in Bath.

I found this notice in a toilet in a church, I didn't know that there was such a thing as 'toilet twinning'!

Me on Monday

I haven't posted a Me on Monday for a few weeks due getting over a bug which thankfully has gone now.

After Friday's storm I spend time in the garden on Saturday trying to rescue my hollyhocks as they were broken off by the wind, I have cut some pieces off and put them in a vase but they don't look like they will survive, it's a shame as they were so pretty.

Tara and I took advantage of the sunshine to go on a longer walk.  A few weeks ago I walked in this area and it was full of butterflies unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me, of course Saturday there were hardly any butterflies - all I managed was one (out of focus) butterfly.  I must learn to take my camera with me at all times!

Tara enjoying the sunshine

It is not easy to take a photo of Tara with her ears up, normally when I point the camera at her she puts her ears back so I am holding a treat while taking this photograph.

Sunday was another day of rain, we had a family get together in a restaurant in Wells which was very enjoyable, as the family are scattered we don't get together very often.

Today was a trip to Bristol to meet my friend for coffee, she showed me her photos from her recent holiday in France, I love looking at holiday photos and seeing places I will probably never visit.

I took my first Shaun the Sheep photo, they are in different areas of Bristol until September when they are auctioned to raise money for the Bristol Children's Hospital charity.  I hope to visit Bristol again over the summer to take some more Shaun the Sheep photos

5 in 5 - July

I have just found this post in my drafts, it was all ready but I forgot to post it!

My 5 in 5 photographs for July were taken in Walcot Street in Bath where I went to meet a friend for lunch.

Walcot Street follows the course of the Fosse Way, an ancient Roman Road which linked Exeter to Lincoln.  Interestingly the Fosse Way passes through the town where I live, years ago I often used to walk my dog along the pathway.  The modern day Fosse Way now follows the A37.  If you are interested in the Fosse Way visit this site here for more information.

Walcot Street is now know as the artisan part of Bath, it is an interesting street with many individual shops and businesses.

At the top of Walcot Street is St Swithins, this church was built in 1777, and has been added to over the years.  Worship has taken place on the site since 971 AD.  We had a look inside the church before enjoying a delicious lunch at the church.

Me on Monday

Waving to Sian and all my blog readers on this Monday morning, it has been a busy weekend.

So I haven't blogged for a while - what has been keeping me busy?

This .....

Yes, I am decorating my living room, it is taking ages as I cannot do very much in one session. I have had to put two coats of paint on all the walls as I am painting the room a lighter colour, I am almost finished,  just one more wall to do.

Yesterday my sister and brother-in-law came to cut the grass for me as the garden was getting neglected due to me being busy inside, they did a wonderful job on tidying the whole garden and I am so grateful for their help.

Tara posing in the garden after the tidy up.
