My 5 in 5 photographs for July were taken in Walcot Street in Bath where I went to meet a friend for lunch.
Walcot Street follows the course of the Fosse Way, an ancient Roman Road which linked Exeter to Lincoln. Interestingly the Fosse Way passes through the town where I live, years ago I often used to walk my dog along the pathway. The modern day Fosse Way now follows the A37. If you are interested in the Fosse Way visit this site here for more information.
Walcot Street is now know as the artisan part of Bath, it is an interesting street with many individual shops and businesses.
At the top of Walcot Street is St Swithins, this church was built in 1777, and has been added to over the years. Worship has taken place on the site since 971 AD. We had a look inside the church before enjoying a delicious lunch at the church.
