After Friday's storm I spend time in the garden on Saturday trying to rescue my hollyhocks as they were broken off by the wind, I have cut some pieces off and put them in a vase but they don't look like they will survive, it's a shame as they were so pretty.
Tara and I took advantage of the sunshine to go on a longer walk. A few weeks ago I walked in this area and it was full of butterflies unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me, of course Saturday there were hardly any butterflies - all I managed was one (out of focus) butterfly. I must learn to take my camera with me at all times!
Tara enjoying the sunshine
It is not easy to take a photo of Tara with her ears up, normally when I point the camera at her she puts her ears back so I am holding a treat while taking this photograph.
Sunday was another day of rain, we had a family get together in a restaurant in Wells which was very enjoyable, as the family are scattered we don't get together very often.
Today was a trip to Bristol to meet my friend for coffee, she showed me her photos from her recent holiday in France, I love looking at holiday photos and seeing places I will probably never visit.
I took my first Shaun the Sheep photo, they are in different areas of Bristol until September when they are auctioned to raise money for the Bristol Children's Hospital charity. I hope to visit Bristol again over the summer to take some more Shaun the Sheep photos
Me on Monday is a wonderful idea started by Sian from High in The Sky.
Do visit her blog to see who else is taking part.

lovely photo of Tara with her intent look and great to see one of the Shauns
ReplyDeleteIt's good to hear that you are feeling a lot better and able to get out and about again. Isn't the weather shocking, though? More October than the middle of summer. I love looking at holiday photos too..I scratch my head at those jokes about hours of pictures!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week Barbara
Glad to hear you are feeling better. I like the search for Shaun the Sheep. Looking forward to seeing more of the S.S. finds
ReplyDeleteI have had to tie up my sunflowers more with all this wind. My hollyhock is further behind so has escaped. Sorry to hear that you have been unwell. Glad you are now on the mend.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better after your bug. I heard Shaun the Sheep is in Bristol. Hope you have as much fun as I did finding Owls in Birmingham.
