That's my World

This week we reach the 1930's, here are the photos from that era.

The penny bazaar is now a toy shop with the drapers shop still above.

The Tea Rooms

Sergison's has changed again, notice the stained glass windows.

Of course, now we have vehicles!

The Hovis van.

I hope you have enjoyed the 1930's quite a few changes from the previous eras. I am really enjoying seeing the shops change through the years.

That’s My World

The BBC (Wall To Wall) are filming a documentary called ‘The High Street’ in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, several shops are being transformed into replicas of different periods.  The Victorian age has just been filmed and on the Sunday a Victorian Market was held.

This is a photograph of part of the fence which surrounds the Glastonbury Festival site held in on Worthy Farm in Somerset each June.  You can read about the festival here.

No – I was not trying to climb the fence! I was there a few weeks after the festival to play at a church service in the village of Pilton.
