My pair this week are then and now comparing seasons.
The first photograph was taken in the summer on a lovely sunny day with all the nettles and green growth.
The second photograph was taken this week just as the rain was starting! It is a lovely place to walk as it is along the old railway track so it's nice and flat.
Tara has a good time as it is a very popular with dog walkers, she loves to meet other dogs and people.

Me on Monday
Waving to Sian and everyone reading my blog.
Another quiet kind of weekend as I am still resting my back. After seeing Sian and Helena's crochet a few weeks ago I decided to get my crochet hook out and start some crocheting. I have quite a lot of left over cones of 4ply yarn as I used to own a knitting machine, I have always liked crocheting squares and many years ago made several blankets. I will be doing the standard granny squares and also trying out some different patterns just for variety.
The pattern I was using was quite confusing when it got to the corners so I have changed it slightly, I will probably do two more rows as being 4 ply they are not very big, it won't be much fun sewing lots of tiny squares together!
Sunday I completed some more project life pages from November, 2014 is almost done now.
This page shows my son waiting to play The Last Post on remembrance day, and his birthday a few days later. Also Christmas trees at the garden centre which arrived in November, they are in pots so I assume they were rooted!

Me on Monday
I've not been blogging for a couple of weeks due to more problems with my back.
This weekend has been a restful kind of weekend. I am trying to be kind to myself and rest as it will recover if I don't do the housework (that is hard!!) don't cut the grass, or do any gardening and just be careful.
I find short walks help so Sunday I drove to the park, which although is only a mile away and we usually walk there, I knew I would not be able to walk that far, so that Tara could have one decent walk over the weekend.
The flower containers in town are looking splendid with their colour scheme of red and purple:

Pairs - Far and Near.
Went for a walk today in the sunshine (at last) to get some geocaches, this lane was looking very pretty with all the daffodils blooming.
In the photo above you can see the large stone near to the telegraph pole.
As I got closer I realised the stone could be a mounting block, placed tere many years ago so that people could easily mount their horses.

Me on Monday
Waving from a still cold Somerset, this weekend was extremely windy and wet, just the sort of weekend for staying in, which I did. At least we were warm, my son came on Thursday evening and managed to get the boiler going after 5 days with no heat.
A fed up Tara trying to keep warm in her PJs
So this weekend was spent with organising and editing my photographs for project life - I am working on 2011 which I finished this weekend and sent off the photos for printing, and catching up with programmes that I had recorded.

Me on Monday
Waving to Sian and everyone reading my blog.
Monday again and this week finds me in a cold house as the boiler has broken down again, unfortunately I think this is the end and I will have to have a new one fitted.

A quiet Saturday catching up with some project life, reading and sorting through old magazines.
My sister and brother-in-law came on Sunday afternoon and he chopped down a hazel tree in the garden which was taking over, having a small garden there just is not room for trees that grow and spread.
He will come back later in the year to dig out the stump then I can plan some new plants for the area.

5 in 5
For my 5 in 5 this month more photos from Sherborne Gardens which I took a few weeks ago. As well as all the snowdrops there were lots of crocus as well. These photos were all taken from the same place.

Me on Monday
Waving to Sian and everyone reading my blog, another weekend has gone by!
Saturday was a trip to Bath to meet with a friend I haven't seen for many, many years (we could not remember how many), she was visiting Bath for the weekend so it was an ideal opportunity to meet.
We have kept in touch over the years writing letters but it was so nice to see each other again.
We found neither of us had visited Bath Abbey so that's where we went after lunch. A beautiful place to visit, while we were there a choir was rehearsing for an evening performance of Bach's St Matthew Passion so we sat for a while and enjoyed the music.

Interesting facts about Bath Abbey:
- Three different churches have occupied the site where the Abbey stands since 757 AD
- Edgar, the first King of England was crowned on the site in 973
- Sir George Gilbert Scott completely transformed the inside of the Abbey between 1864 and 1874, he replaced the wooden ceiling with the stone far vaulting - see photo above.
Sunday was a relaxing day, my daughter visited for the weekend and cooked a very tasty vegetarian lasagne and baked a lovely calorie filled cake!
Today was a trip to Westbury so that my daughter could catch a direct train home and it saved another trip to Bath. I took Tara for a walk by the White Horse in the rain, the site is near military land and the army were on manoeuvres so it was like stepping into a war zone complete with jets flying above.
Just picture me walking a dog that jumps when someone closes a car door outside, she actually did very well and if she is not desensitised now from loud noises she never will be. There were a lot of other dogs being walked taking no notice of the bangs they looked like they were used to it.
A happy Tara in the rain

I love to see snowdrops - to me they mean spring will arrive even when the weather is still cold.
